Jeremiah McDade is an award winning multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger & composer. He frequently performs at festivals and theatres throughout North America & Europe with his Juno Award winning group “The McDades” as well as collaborating and recording with a wide variety of artists. He can be heard on dozens of recordings and soundtracks. He has performed on several occasions with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and the Calgary Philharmonic and looks forward to an upcoming tour as a soloist with U.S Orchestras as well. With one foot planted in the rich tradition of the saxophone, the other is firmly planted in the contemporary modality of jazz. Jeremiah is excited to make music with Tom Van Seters again and the set will include a few tunes from Jeremiah’s upcoming album.

Jazz pianist and composer Tom Van Seters has been an active member of the Canadian music scene for more than twenty-five years. He has performed in a wide variety of settings and collaborated with some of Canada’s most renowned musicians. A full time professor of music at MacEwan University in Edmonton, Tom’s academic credentials include a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Performance from the University of Toronto.
In the spirit of our incredible collective effort to flatten the curve, your Yardbird Suite, Edmonton’s premiere jazz venue since 1957, is presenting a series of live online performances for the Yardbird Suite Virtual Series.
We broadcast live from the Yardbird Suite. There are no audiences other than the performers and audio technician who are physically distant, do not share the same equipment, nor come into contact with each other. Every effort has been made to comply with AHS safety guidelines.
Curated by Edmonton musicians Nicolás Arnáez, Stephanie Urquhart, Peter Zawalski, the all-Edmonton lineup features a variety of solos, duets, and instruments. Performances will run Tuesdays, Fridays, & Saturdays 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
